Scenario 4
Scenario 4: Corrosion Protection Design for Severe Environments

4.1 Background
For PV projects in harsh corrosive environments, ISO 14713 C5/VH durability requires 150+ μm hot-dip galvanizing or equivalent. But such thick coatings often have poor adhesion and unstable processes. Conventional galvanizing may be impractical, with risks like zinc layer peeling.
4.2 Solution: HDG + Powder Coating
Instead of relying solely on increased hotdip galvanizing thickness, we adopt a composite anticorrosion system combining standard hotdip galvanizing and powder coating.
Optional coating systems include epoxypolyurethane, polyester powder and FusionBonded Epoxy (FBE). The solution supports mass industrial production and is tailored for PV pile foundations under heavilycorrosive service conditions.
4.3 Core Advantages
Multiple coating systems are available to avoid the drawbacks of overthick hotdip galvanizing, including poor adhesion, zinclayer peeling and unstable processes, delivering more reliable corrosionresistant performance.
Proven for mass production, it balances anticorrosion reliability and projectlevel cost.
